The Pasch.net collective was formed on the Advanced Printmaking course at CityLit last year, and this is our first independent exhibition, held in an empty shop in the Langney shopping centre in Eastbourne. Like most artists, we faced steep fees for dedicated exhibition spaces, and we decided to try and find empty unused space and convince the owner to let us use it temporarily.
The unit we found was in a fantastic location in a busy suburban shopping centre: a huge space with an almost blank canvas. The lighting was not ideal, just strip lights and a couple of lines of spotlights, but this is manageble. Here’s some pics.
The exhibition runs from Wednesday 30 to Saturday 2 November. On Friday 1 we are running a free print workshop for local people.
