Listened to Judy Chicago talking about her influences on This Cultural Life – what a tour de force. So I had to visit her exhibition at the Serpentine to see her art in the flesh… Most interested in the textiles and the pyrotechnic photographs. She is extraodinarily innovative with her approaches, and admirably brave with her messages.
I actually loved her photographs of the smoke and fire performances the most – beautiful, haunting, sensual, brave. I would like to look into this some more.
