Here I am looking at print collages with images of my medication, handwritten and printed words and found materials – feathers and ribbons. I am also experimenting with coloured card and old envelopes and boxes.
I like to see the results from different textures – hard, man-made materials with softer, more organic ones, especially given the way I have applied the cyanotype solution like ink. It creates contrasts within the piece.
I have used images of models to try and interrogate why our culture is so obsessed with the visual image for women – this seems to be the main value we are judged against.
