Thought it might be useful to post some pics of the detail on this piece, incorporating found or repurposed objects and screenprinting. The fabric was from old men’s shirts, sewn onto tulle panels and screenprinted with images of supermodels and misogynistic newspaper headlines. The straps were found ouside a local motorbike shop, they are used to secure the bikes to the frames they are delivered in. These are printed with a chain emblem featuring words associated with being women in the modern world. The colour of the straps ‘pops’ against the boring shirt fabric.
