Bit of a delay posting these pics, taken during a march against government austerity on 21 June. This was partly a research trip for my next project which is looking at communications and messaging in politics, and partly to explore the atmosphere and thrust of those who campaign against austerity politics. Apart from the fascinating range of people there, what really struck me was how negative the messaging around austerity is, and the extent to which leftist politics is drawn into using the language of the right to describe its vision of the future.
