Conducted a couple of expeditions to take pictures of iconic Modernist buildings in and around London for my next project, a publication about Structure and the City. Fascinating to visit some new areas but what struck me the most is that these buildings are often tucked into the most mundane places – next to the A40 for the Hoover Building, or in suburban Ruislip for the Park Avenue houses. I’ve always loved Art Deco architecture, but I’m now increasingly attracted to the more purist International Style, and will probably make this the focus for the publication.
