PRINT/TEXTILES: making a map-inspired screen-printed and sewn jacket

First foray into printing on fabric worked unexpectedly well using a screen exposed with a 1903 map of south Bristol – then printed white onto some very dark denim. I’ve made this into a simple jacket (not a ‘tabard’ as some have been saying!!) with pintucks to emulate the folds of an OS-style map, which I will then applique with some of the shrieky neon fabrics at the bottom. Watch this space for the finished item!
